Bob Brown on why we need forests:
- “We’ve got to keep old growth forests because that’s where we come from”
- “This curl on our ear is not fashioned to listen to TV or ipods … this is to pick up the faintest sound from the forest floor”
- “Our eyes are set back in our foreheads so we cam move swiftly through the forest safely”
- “Thats why we put pictures of wildlife, flowers, forests on our walls not chainsaws and bulldozers”
- “They are an avenue back to where we come from.”
- He continues on to describe advantages of eco-tourism over logging and the plight of the Tasmanian wedge-tailed eagle
